Utah made me....Cali raised me!

Hey!!
So this week was pretty good!! Unfortunately, I didn't go golfing this morning but on Wednesday we're going with the ward so its all good!!

So this week I probably had the best story on my mission kinda sad but it definitely is a changing point of my mission!
So I've talked a little about Sister Bell.  She has a lot of health problems and is really self dependent.  She has to do all her bills and all her hospital crap which is a ton! So we stopped by on Saturday night and she was really upset! We asked her what was up and she just broke down crying and she doesn't cry in front of us.  She told us that on Friday the doctor told her that she has 2 bugs in her lungs that are growing and feeding off each other and there's no way they can get them out but they prescribed an antibiotic for her that the doctors forgot to order and on top of that she is way behind on her bills and other paper work.  At that moment when she was telling us her story, I felt so much love for her that is was crazy.  I saw Sister Bell the way Christ saw everyone and sees everyone it was pretty awesome!! Needless to say we spent about 4 hours filing bills and all that good stuff haha.

On a happy note!! We got to have a lesson with the Friend from Iran and we set a baptismal date with him for October 11! #SPLASH
We also got to take part in a global festival which was super cool.  We had a stand that a lot of people took interest in so its gonna be sweet to see how many people give us a call!

Things are pretty awesome tho!!
Scripture of the week!!

D&C 67:10

10 And again, verily I say unto you that it is your privilege, and a promise I give unto you that have been ordained unto this ministry, that inasmuch as you strip yourselves from jealousies and fears, and humble yourselves before me, for ye are not sufficiently humble, the veil shall be rent and you shall see me and know that I am—not with the carnal neither natural mind, but with the spiritual.

Love ya!!

Hey everyone!
So I went to the driving range this morning once again haha! It just makes life so much easier ya know!!
So this week was eventfull... we had a transfer meeting that we were late to so I decided to get there as fast as I can!  Not the brightest decision! Needless to say I got my first ticket by some religious guy! He didn't even give me a warning!! What's the matter with him? But... it's all good! I'm actually grateful for it! My parents aren't but I am! Cause it taught me the importance of laws not only city laws but the laws God gives us! It's good!
So as far as missionary work goes... We went off this week! It was sick. We only set aside 3 hours to contact and we came out with 230 contacts so that's pretty sick! I get to teach an investigator once a week with some other elders and the guy is golden its pretty sick teachin him.. he wasn't able to come to church this week cause he got hammered the day before so it's all good!!
We also had a dude from iraq just walk into church that was cool!! Here's hopin he aint with ISIS!! jokes that might have been too far... but we have a lesson with him tomorrow but were passing him off to the sisters cause he don't live in our ward but it's all good!!
That was pretty much my week!!!
Scripture of the week!!

It's the scripture that was on the cops wrist!

Proverbs 15:3
3)The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

What a jerk!!!

Love you all!

Elder Hancock & Elder Hess.....Looking back at the Temple!

Hey!

So most importantly we went to the driving range today and my Iron flow was on!!!
I also will be staying in Irvine for 6 more weeks!! Which will make its 7.5 months in good ole Irvine! Good thing summer is over cause it is hot!! But it’s good!

This week was pretty sweet we had a huge fire that actually made the tv which was pretty sick!
We picked up a new investigator well kind of!  It’s Dave we just finally got to teach him which was pretty good.  He loves the plan of salvation he just has a problem with the restoration but its all good he’s gonna get in the water soon enough!!

We still work with Sister Bell and she is probably my favorite member in our ward! We just do little acts of service for her and she like buys each of us our individual pizzas or 40$ to spend on drinks or something haha its nice!! But she’s awesome!  She likes the church more than the members so she doesn’t go but has a strong testimony! It’s awesome! That’s pretty much it!  We’re about to go off this transfer it’s gonna be sick! Love ya!! and Miss ya!!

Scripture!

·         Philippians 3:8

8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

It Doesn’t matter what happens to us as long as we try to win Christ!

Hey Everyone!

Alright just to start off Elder Bufton (my boii) Elder Hancock and Elder Masui and myself went and hit up the Mission Viejo golf course this morning and played a sick 18 hole game! Elder Bufton won by 6 strokes!  We stroke so good like Tiger Woods!

Alright let's get serious.. So this week was pretty awesome! We got to attend the Newport Beach Temple this week! Unfortunately we were about 30 mins late to our session but it's all good cause we're missionaries so we got to do inititories at nine and did a session at ten so it just worked out and it was awesome!! It's amazing how much more you learn when you do inititories first!

We also have been working with a guy by the name of Dave.  He is from Texas! I might have talked about him earlier I don't even know but anyway hes a huge Texas fan and they played BYU and ya poor guy! He was pretty mad! It was the greatest thing! I mean I dont like BYU but I was taking so much mad game! But it's all good cause he's solid!

We are also continuing to work with Sister Bell and she is awesome!  She gave me the nickname Opie! No idea who that is but whatever it's pretty chill!

Scipture of the week!

Ether 12:27

27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness.  I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

Love ya!

Hey Everyone!

So this week was pretty good! Went and hit the driving range yesterday with my boys! Going and hitting the course next Monday with my boys Hancock, Bufton, and Masui! It's gonna be pretty sweet! We also had our annual mission wide kick ball tournament and we got wrecked! But it's all good!

So on to the important stuff! Not a whole lot happend this week.  We do have some awesome potentials.  We're going to stop by and see a less active in the ward that I'm excited to start working with! And a huge accomplishment we had this week is that a inactive family has decided to feed us regularly.. they obviously weren't thinking straight.. can you say REACTIVATION!! Pretty Sweet!!! Well don't really know what else to say so here is the weekly scripture.

Elder Hess  "SPLASH"

Alma 41:10

10. Do not suppose, because it has been spoken concerning restoration, that ye shall be restored from sin to happiness.  Behold, I say unto you, wickedness never was happiness.
